Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting for the UK’s largest charity supporting those affected by criminal acts. The charity provides direct support and advice to those affected by crime, supporting those affected through the most suitable means possible.
A vacancy has arisen within their Ingatestone team for a Caseworker to provide support young people to cope and recover from the impact of crime by providing emotional and practical support.
Duties will include:

Provide and co-ordinate support to young people who have been affected by crime

To undertake or refresh needs assessments, develop and implement a support plan for victims and witnesses

Provide one-to-one support to victims and co-ordinate additional support as required
-
Ensuring a full package of support is provided throughout their journey through the criminal justice system

Liaising with external agencies to ensure the service users’ needs are met
This is the ideal role for an experienced Youth Worker / Support Worker or Caseworker with direct experience of providing a supporting service to young people or other vulnerable clients.
Interested candidates will need the following:

Demonstrable experience of working with young and vulnerable people
-
Skills to work both directly with young people and in group forums.

Knowledge and experience of safeguarding and ability to advocate on behalf of the young person.

Experience of working directly with clients or service users in a voluntary, statutory, social or community work setting
-
An understanding of safeguarding and the principals of the Children’s Act 1989
