Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting for a nationwide charity specialising in the criminal justice system and the direct effects of crime.
Due to the continual expansion and development of a successful telephone support service, we are now looking to recruit a Telephone Support – Victim Care Officer with a remit to be the first point of call for victims of crime and assist with providing information and recognising their service needs.
The purpose of the role is to undertake comprehensive assessments of victims’ needs and associated risks by phone and provide a range of services to support the identified needs.
Main duties:

Working in a call centre environment the role is to provide information and signposting to victims and members of the public as required.

Record all contact securely, and in accordance with procedures for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Comply with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements
-
Ensure that standards and procedures are observed, particularly those relating to safe practice, confidentiality and information sharing.
This is a super role for an experienced customer service professional / support worker / service delivery worker / counsellor / mentor or similar with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
This is a new and exciting opportunity to be part of a new and evolving initiative to deliver information and support to victims of crime in Kent.
The role will develop as the service evolves and are looking for applicants who have the skills and the motivation to be part of this on-going process.
We are looking for applicants who:

Can demonstrate an ability to communicate to service users over the phone, this means being supportive and empathetic whilst providing information to help that individual.

Have professional and supportive telephone manner

Have call centre experience (desirable but not essential)

Have previous experience working with vulnerable groups

Have strong customer service ethics
