Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of one of the country’s most recognisable charities, providing support and care to the elderly
The Chief Officer role will be instrumental in driving the next stage of the charity’s development and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced regional or unit manager (project manager / programme manager) to lead a national brand and develop a portfolio of service provision.
The Chief Officer will be working with the Board of Trustees to develop and grow the organisation.
The role responsibilities and duties will include:

Lead and manage the charity ensuring strategies are implemented and aims are met
-
Responsible for the day to day financial management (alongside the Treasurer and Finance Manager)

Increasing client involvement through implementation of engagement strategies
-
Developing strategies for maintaining and securing additional funding avenues
-
Manage and develop a wide range of reports and volunteers ensuring resources are effectively deployed
-
Work closely with and advise the Board of Trustees; recommending and advising on policies, planning and priorities
This would be the ideal role for a dynamic experienced manager with direct experience and understanding of the charitable and/or voluntary sectors.
Interested applicants must have:

Experience of management and project development work

A strong track record of success in delivering strategies for a charitable project or department

Experience in creating, developing and managing strategies for increased revenue and service use

Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver complex information to a varied audience

Experience of managing and developing staff and volunteers

Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Knowledge or understanding of issues relating to older people
