Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting for one of the world’s most recognisable charities is looking to recruit a Catering Assistant for their Islington restaurant and conference rooms.
Our client specialises in the provision of support, guidance and housing with homeless young people, and we are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to join a busy kitchen team, providing support to the kitchen and restaurant operation and reporting directly to the chef.
This is a key function within a global organisation which will allow the successful applicant to gain vital experience within the hospitality sector.
Duties will include:

Assisting the chef in food preparation duties and in serving food and beverages

Assisting in preparing the food service and restaurant areas
-
Assisting in preparation and service of at any special functions
-
Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, service and dishwashing area as per the cleaning schedule
This is an ideal role for an experienced kitchen or catering assistant with at least 6 months experience in a similar hospitality environment.
To be considered for this role candidates must have:

A relevant qualification in basic food hygiene
-
6 months commercial catering or kitchen experience
-
High standards of cleanliness
-
Excellent levels of customer care
-
Good written and verbal communication with an excellent command of the English language
