Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting for the UK’s largest charity supporting those affected by criminal acts and antisocial behaviour. The charity provides direct support and advice to those affected by crime, supporting those affected through the most suitable means possible.
The main purpose of this role is to provide an effective and high quality service to victims of priority crime and ASB, by undertaking tailored one-to-one support and by managing volunteers who similarly provide emotional and practical support.
You will be required to:

Determine the most appropriate method of support for referred victims taking into account known risk and best practice in relation to their needs.

Complete needs and risk assessments following Victim Service Operating Procedures.

Ensure appropriate support is provided to referred victims and review support plans regularly.

Carry out effective recruitment and management of volunteers, assessing their competence to practice using national guidelines.

Maintain the security of databases, manual/electronic files and records.

Maintain a good knowledge of the local area, local voluntary groups, statutory agencies and their services.

Produce management information and progress reports as required.

Develop local key relationships to enhance partnership working and identify potential funding opportunities.
This is the ideal role for an experienced Case Worker or Support Worker or service delivery professional with direct experience of providing a supporting service to people and vulnerable clients. You may also have programme management or project coordination experience.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will have a full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
Interested candidates will need the following:

Experience of delivering a service and working with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community setting.

An excellent understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practices.

Able to work confidently without direct supervision and be able to deal effectively with competing or conflicting demands in an organised and methodical manner, as well as having good problem solving skills.
